Attendee info

 Attendee information for October 15th

Thanks for be a part of the first of hopefully many workshops from Cover Your Artz. Here you should find all the information you need to make your day successful.

Location

The seminar will be taking place at the Fairfield NMIT campus on the 15th of October. The campus is on Yarra Bend Road, off Heidelberg Road in Fairfield. I have provided you with a Google maps link to the campus below.

The Seminar will be taking place is the Yarra Edge Music Centre, which is Building G. There should be sufficient signage on the campus to direct you to the correct building. The link below will also provide you with a map of the campus.

Parking

There is a large car park off the main road which you can use. In the event that the car park is full, there are further parks available next to the football ground.

Public Transport

The closest train station to the campus is Dennis station, on the Hurstbridge train line. From Dennis station, follow Victoria Rd south to Westgarth St. Across the road from the end of Victoria Rd is Jeffrey St. Follow Jeffrey St to Heidelberg Rd. Directly opposite the petrol station on the other side of Heidelberg Rd is Yarra Bend Rd. The NMIT campus is a roughly 300m down Yarra Bend Road.

What do I need to bring?

If you haven’t ticked the ‘buy lunch’ icon on the website, then it’s highly recommended that you bring lunch with you. The closest location for food will be Station St Fairfield which is about a 30min walk and a 5 min drive.  As the event is a Saturday the cafes and kiosks on campus will be closed. If you have ticked the ‘buy lunch’ icon, then lunch will be provided for you at NMIT.

It is highly recommended that you bring, pen, paper and business cards so that you can take notes on anything that interests you. If you are in a band, bring a demo CD and bio to give to people you think might be interesting to work with. Remember though to have your name and contact details on everything in case it get’s separated in the person’s bag. Fairfield is always a little cooler than the rest of the suburbs, so bring a jacket or jumper if it is going to be on the cool side.
